Howto: SOS (Emergency Activation) by SMS Text
Used if you want to activate Sarwatch NOW, rather than waiting until your Alert Time.SOS EMERGENCY ACTIVATION
| SMS command: | SMSpwd sos message |
| where... | SMSpwd = YOUR sms password set on details page. message = optional text to be added to the Alert Message sent to your Trusted Contacts. |
| Note: | Triggers Sarwatch Alert Messages to your Trusted Contacts NOW, rather than waiting for your Alert Time. If Sarwatch was not armed, a brief Alert Message will still be sent including your message. |
| Returns: | NO CONFIRMATION MESSAGE (i.e. silent response) If you want a confirmation, follow this command with a separate “STATUS” SMS command. |
Example (assuming our SMS number is in your contacts list under Myredflare, and SMS password has been set to "abcde" on Details page):
Send text message To: Myredflare abcde sos Hurt knee, Megalong campsite. Please come get me. |

NOTE: There is no reply to a SOS command as you possibly would not want a "message received" beep from your phone in this circumstance. You can send a "status" message to check that your SOS was received.
