SMS and SARWATCH
SARWATCH SMS Commands
To use these functions... simply send the appropriate SMS command message to our SMS contact number +61429100704. Our website will receive your command and send you a reply SMS to confirm the action has occurred, for which 1 credit will be deducted from your account.
To use SMS messaging you must provide your mobile phone number and choose an SMS password, done on your PROFILE/DETAILS page, and purchase a quantity of SMS credits. After setting your mobile number and SMS password you can practice using SMS commands for free using our "SMS emulator"... no SMS credits are required for this.
NOTE: each command is preceded by your "SMS password", which is a specific password you can choose for use when sending SMS commands. This SMS password is set on your PROFILE/DETAILS page.

For Example: setnum bloggs@myredflare.com mypassword MyRedFlare identifies you using your mobile number, which is sent when you send an SMS message. So that your number is recorded in the correct format you must use the SETNUM command or (set via the DETAILS page) before any other SMS commands or when changing phones. |

| ARM Alert System with existing Plan |

SARWATCH is Armed using the Plan/Itinerary that you have already entered using this website, with the Alert Time set to "n" hours from the next "o'clock" hour. A confirmation message is sent to your phone. Uses Contacts info previously set via the website. For example, if at 9.25am you send the command: arm 26 Arms MyRedFlare with an alert time of 12.00 the next day. |

SARWATCH is Armed using the text message as the plan/itinerary, with the Alert Time set to "n" hours from the next whole hour. A confirmation message is sent to your phone. For example, if at 9.25am you send the command: arm 26 Driving to Canberra with Boris. SARWATCH will be Armed with an alert time of 12.00 the next day and your plan recorded as "SMS Plan:Driving to Canberra with Boris." |

add message | message = short text message (max 150 chars) | Message is added (appended) to your existing Plan description. Use this command to advise of changes to plan, or to "check-in" with a position update. Message is stored with the time it is received. A confirmation message is sent to your phone. |

| Alert Cancellation (I'm OK!) |
ok [message] | message = optional text message (max 150 chars) | After Alert Messages have been sent, cancels alert and sends "I'm OK" email/SMS messages to your Contacts. You MUST send this message if you fail to disarm SARWATCH, and also call your Contacts as soon as possible to reassure them that you're OK. |

| SOS... Trigger Alert NOW! (Emergency) |
sos [message] | msg = optional text message appended to your Plan. | If you have previously Armed the system the sos command triggers the Alert now rather than waiting for your Alert Time. An "Alert Messages Sent" message will be sent to your phone. If SARWATCH has not been Armed, a minimal Alert Message will be sent to your contacts, advising of the alert but containing no plan, due date/time etc. They will be able to access your past SAWATCH records. |

| Change Local Timezone or Country | time xxxx | xxxx = utcn (n range -12 to +12) OR xxxx = country timezone code | Resets your current location local time , so MyRedFlare knows which time to include in messages to you.
Returns confirmation message with new local time and status. Can also use 3- or 4-letter country/timezone code for new country. e.g. "time utc+8" or "time SGP" both set local time for Singapore. (see World Time for codes). |
